Microstock Photographers Wanted - Update

19th January 2009
Fotomind is a relatively small Microstock library with only 123,000 registered images. This is what they have to say;-

Good revenue - 0.3$ per credit (that means 0.9$ per image in most cases)
Get up to 27$ per image
Upload pictures via FTP or HTTP
Automatic handling of image metadata (IPTC)
Various payment methods (check, paypal, etc)
Payouts are sent every month
Minimum payout is 100$
Photo review time: up to 72 hours
The minimum size of uploaded images is 4.0MP. That is, the dimensions multiplied by each other (width * height) must be at least 4.0 million.

Looking at the images, there is an opportunity to start submitting and I would guess that they aren't as fussy as the larger agencies. When I first started with Shutterstock they only had 173,000 images and it was easy to be accepted, look how they have grown. But the more images that they have on file the more discerning they get and becoming accepted is getting harder.

I would strongly advise that you click on the link and register now, before other photographers start to flood the agency. It is an ideal opportunity to get your images online. I'm not saying that the sales will be great until Fotomind becomes established but they may have access to markets that the other libraries have do not.
